2nd TT needs big power help
My wife has a 185 and we love it. I am thinking about getting a 225 for myself. My question is about power. I know myself. I will want to play with the car and try to gain any power i can.
My wifes car is stock aside from intake and new factory audi parts. I would be looking at doing anything i can.
What all does it take to make decent power on these cars.
300hp-350hp if it can would be nice! Haveing never tuned these cars i dont know much about them. So any help would be nice

My suggestion to you would be to have your ecu reflashed by Unitronic Chipped. Personally, I have had my 2003 Audi TT Coupe 225 reflashed by them with their stage 1+ option. I did the 1+ because it allowed everything else on the car to stay stock. They do however recommend upgrading the diverter valve (not something difficult to do, I just haven't gotten around to it with bushings and such that need replacing on mine). The stock power outputs on the car were 225HP and 207 ft/lbs torque. With the stage 1+, my car is currently putting out 273HP and 275 ft/lbs torque. Huge gains while staying stock. With an upgraded exhaust and diverter valve, you should be right around the 300HP mark. Unitronic does have a Stage 2 option which requires an upgraded exhaust. They claim the output on the stage 2 option is about 285HP and 295 ft/lbs torque. I have to believe, however, that with the upgraded exhaust and down pipe that you will easily see 325+ hp.
There are plenty of other mods you can do to get big power, but honestly ive found that having the ecu flashed is by far the easiest way to get decent power gains with ease.
Oh. and I forgot to mention that by having it flashed, it removes the pesky 130 mph speed limiter!! so far ive gotten mine to 145mph before I realized I really need to fix up the suspension just to be safe at such speeds.
