Default Not hard. Get the install intructions from their site. I have a Fotki of my ECS

I had my laptop on the shelf in the garage next to the car when doing mine. And don't loose their super hi-tech alignment tool that they send!

Does it make the actual shifter collumn shorter too? (make the shift **** lower to the boot)

nope, all the work is done pretty much in the engine bay. Only adj. are done in the car

I've seen TT's with really short shifter collumn... what do you buy to do that?

The B&amp;M short shifter replaces the shifter itself. Not sure if it is shorter though.
