Default Battery problem

Hi everyone. I'm new on the forum and hoping someone can help me out with a bit of a problem.
My car is a V6 3.2 litre quattro, hard-top, about 10 years old. I've been away for a few months and have returned to find my battery is dead. (No surprises there!) When I say it's dead, I mean really dead - I had to use the "real" key to open the door as the remote won't register.
So I need to charge the battery, OK? Or jump start from another car using booster cables. Battery is in the boot.
Problem: I can't open the boot as there's no manual mechanism to open it. I'm looking for ways of getting access from the inside by folding down the back seat or something similar, but that seems a no-no.
Will I have to spend an arm and a leg by calling out Audi, or is there someone out there who can help me? Hope so!
