Clutch Slipping on '01 TTRDSTR w 30K miles
I need advice on a potential clutch problem. I'm the original owner of a 2001TT Rdstr, 225HP, six speed manual, etc. completely stock. It has 30,000 miles on it, and I've done all normal maintenance. As I accelerate rapidly in any gear the engine revs fairly high then settles back as the car accelerates. I'm fearing a wear problem in the clutch. However, I'm the only driver and I've not abused the clutch. Almost never stalled it in a shift. My driving is mostly short trips, city driving. Regardless I'm having trouble believing that it needs major clutch work at 30K miles.
I've seen discussion of engine oil leaking into the clutch, causing "slipping." Interesting because I had to replace the exhaust flexpipe/"downpipe" and I know this requires a lot of removal and replacement of components. The shop also changed my engine oil at the same time. The slipping began shortly after this repair. Any advice would be much appreciated.

replace the clutch. make sure the shop replaced the engine seal (front seal?) and check/change the slave cyl 'while you are there'.
likely the engine seal is leaking causing the clutch to slip. been there. done that.
