Comfort Control Module and Convertible top
Wanted to post my experience with a faulty CCM. 2004 TT convertible
The usual symptons, door locks not working, top not working right, gas cap and trunk not working.
After some research, came up with the CCM. Ordered one, installed it and all is good.
The issue causing it was water was getting in from the top and leaking down through the access in the carpet under the back window. The reason the water was leaking on the carpet and running down on the CCM was the plastic drains in each corner of the back window were clogged up with dirt and debris. Took an air hose and blew out the drains. Got a lot of stuff blown out. They are hard to get to and you cannot actually see them.
Replacing the CCM is easier to do going through the trunk. About impossible through the small access
in the back window area.

clear the drains on both sides of the car - pull the rear wheels off.. pull the wheel well liner from the front of the well, and clear the drain there. pull the spring out.. itwill be clogged (dont know why there is a spring there). blow gently into the car with compressed air.
replace your top (if the glass isnt leaking.. it will at some point) and fix the drain gutter (whatever that flap is called)
