Default well someone does. I suspect that with the proper OEM license agreement, you could get the parts.

that's what BBA does

Ah, thanks! Amazingly weak in design then. I bet meters on junkyard cars still work well.

Default Nope, carless this weekend

TT is in the shop getting a little work done and the wife needs the BMW. But that's OK since the Honey-do list is longer than the weekend is.

Default that then is probably main processor memory leakage, which has been discussed a lot.

The TT instrument cluster is manufactured by Ixfin Magneti Marelli

This is what has been quoted from them.

"To identify the cause it is necessary to analyse the part, but we may assume with a high level of confidence that the deffect is due to a microcontroller memory loss inside the cluster. This probblem occurred despite the fact we chose the supplier of the microcontroller among the 3 technology leaders worldwide. The problem has been fixed at the begining of 2002."

Default I continue to be amazed...

by the talented folks on this forum. You guys (and gals) astound me.

I am an admitted non-DIY TT Owner (hey, I did just paint my headlight housings Titanium Grey and I'm pretty proud of that!)...

You guys (gender neutral) rock!

So if you replaced it after 2002 it shouldn't happen again.
