Default Flickering dash lights and gauges that don't work upon initial start???

I have a 2001 TT 225hp with 113,000 miles on it now and recently, I have noticed that when I start the car, my entire dash board (including aftermarket stereo, and just about all interior lights) flicker repeatedly and all four gauges (speed, tach, gas, and temp) all read 0. After a while (5 to 10 minutes), eventually everything starts working correctly again. Note, my headlights and taillights do not blink. Also, this has been getting progressively worse and now my gas gauge appears to need recalibating even once everything appears to be working again (it reads ~1/2 tank when it is actually empty). The stealership told me that I need to replace the main dash instrument panel (4 gauges). Anyone have any thoughts on this? Any help with this would be much appreciated. Thanks.

How difficult is the dash to remove? What should I use to clean the contacts?

Default Mine started this when it got cold recently!!!

I have a 2001 225QR also. After I drive it for a few minutes, everything works OK. How much is it to get the contacts cleaned at the dealer?

Default with winter breathing down my TTs back...there's alot of squeaks and creaks...

whirling noises, you name it. i suppose it doesn't help that it sits out in single digit weather overnight. the clutch pedal is stiffer due to the thickening of the fluids. and needs a wash with all the salt and grime on it.

doors are sticky and washer fluid all plugged up.

My black TT is now almost white...I can't wait until it gets warm enough to wash it off...

Default same here...the rear is pretty much white...

i try to clean the windows...since its so cold that the washer fluid line is frozen solid. maybe i'll look for a car wash place that has those high pressure wands just to get the salt off.

hopefully, it won't stay too long like this...maybe this is the last few days of extreme cold. i hope.
