Hatch (liftgate) interior panel removal?
Can anyone help me with this? Ugh! The Audi/Bentley Service Manual is not helpful for this task. I've searched these forums and a few Google searches have yielded little info, and what I have found has been vague or contradicts other postings. One post I found appeared helpful, but was so old that all pics were now just old, broken links.
I need to remove the interior panel on the hatchback. I'm the original owner of this '01 225hp Quattro TT coupe. I'm afraid of prying, the plastic seems incredibly hard and brittle - fear it will break or crack.
The service manual says there are two screws to remove, near the struts. But I can't find ANY screws anywhere on the panel.
I'd pay for real, helpful, experienced, source of information right now...
Bueller! Can anyone help me? Please!

Had mine off my '01 this past weekend, trying to silence some rattles, it is easy to do. There is a latch cover to remove, this simply pulls downward. The rest of the panel only has clips holding it in place. There is a lot of them particularly in the lower portion. I used an interior panel plastic pry tool started at the top of the lift gate near the roof line first. Got mine off with out breaking anything, no instructions either, so you can do it too. Please keep in mind, mine is an '01, not sure how they vary from year to year.
