How low can you go for 1999-2002 TT Mileage
My 2001 225HP Lake Silver Hardtop has 11,000 kilometres. It's driven only when I find the time. Any out there with less mileage?

He says 11,000 kilometers which would be 6,835 miles. I always wondered what kind of maintenance you would do for cars with such low miles. Do you change oil annually even though it only has 500 miles on it? What about belts, brake fluid, coolant?

10-15 miles a week, not sure that's a good thing. Cars need to be driven.

I have changed oil three times and I have original tires. Yes they are getting hard. Hmmm had not thought of that. Nothing else has been touched. Any suggestions???

If it's a weekend toy, replace the brake fluid of course as it will be pretty much useless by now. I would change the engine oil and filter once a year, synthetic oil good quality filter. Drain and fill the Haldex. The Hungarian rubber parts tend to shrivel up on these cars, check the shock upper mounts and the suspension in general, also the engine + transmission mounts .
The big thing is the timing belt, can't advise you there. Maybe have it checked. The belt will be dried up and the tensioner is probably questionable.Water pump might be OK although it probably has a plastic impeller which in the early days wasn't very durable. Drain and fill the cooling system maybe.

Interesting issue with the tires. I've not changes them but they do seem to be getting harder. Maybe I should change them? Hmmm I've changed oil three times and not changed other fluids. But I suppose this spring I'll change these. Nothing else has ever been done. It's seen rain once. The day I drove it home it was raining. My only problem has been that once in a while the tach shows zero, but after about 20 minutes or so, it starts to work it I turn motor on and off. I certainly hope this is not the dash issue cropping up which I have started to read about. The car has been vacuumed once.

The tires are getting hard so maybe I should change them. Oil has been changed 4 times. No other fluids changed yet but I'll do that. I'm starting to notice Tach sticks at zero for 10 mins until it gets warm. Wonder why that is. Car has been vacuumed once! Never needs it. Seen rain once. Never snow. Any suggestions??

Sorry for triple posts there but my iPhone didn't register the earlier posts. In the spring I'll have it looked at by Audi. Thanks all. I used to post here under different name from 1999 onward but lost access to that email and had to resign up to this BB.
