When I bought my 2001 TT coupe a couple months ago, it only came with the valet key. So I bought a keyless entry fob with a blank switchblade key, had the dealer cut it and program the fob, and they couldn't program it. They got the key to unlock the doors, but they couldn't program the fob how all the instructions say how to do it online. They told me they needed to put it in the shop and have the car except the keyless entry fob, or something like that, and they wanted to charge me 50 bux because it would take 30 mins of labor! Has anyone heard of this happening before? Do you think the fob just needs a new battery? Let me know, Thanks!

And the key needs to be matched to the immobilizer. Same happened to me when I bought a back-up..
