Default MKII (or later) brakes on MKI?

I have a set of brakes and rotors from a TT-RS. Is it possible to make them work on an MKI TT?

Thank you in advance.

Conceivably. One would have to have the rotors drilled for 5 X100 and have caliper brackets fabricated . I have Porsche Brembo calipers on mine. Many have done that over the years. The brackets would be like THESE but would have to be properly sized to space the calipers outward and in alignment with the TTRS rotor. It would be a very nice setup if you could find a machine shop capable of fabricating it.

How do costs compare to just getting the Brembo kit for the TT? That is, how much does it typically cost to do all the custom machining, plus the cost of the TTRS brakes, to make it worthwhile to do this rather than an out of the box solution?

Thing is, I already have the brakes in hand. (which basically cost me nothing) I have access to the resources, and the necessary skills to do the machining. Seems like a winner, if properly executed.
