Default Is my TT really a Quattro?

Hey guys,

I bought my 2001 TT Quattro last year and have been loving it.

I've been through 1 winter here in CT with it and it performed great.

I just put my vin through a VIN Decoder, just for fun, and it is telling me that my TT is NOT a Quattro!!!!!

WTF!!!!!!!

How can I really tell if my car is a Quattro or not? It has the badging on it (which anyone could have put on I suppose) and my registration says it is a Quattro, but this decoder is telling me that I only have a 2wd car.

Anyone?

Brian

Ok, I tried a different VIN decoder site (actually from this forum) and my car IS a Quattro.

VIN Decoder - AudiWorld Forums

False alarm... but how would I have found out otherwise?

Also, if your 2001 has two tail pipes it is a quattro. If it is a roadster with one tail pipe it is not a quattro. If it is a coupe with one tail pipe, you will have to look underneath the car for the rear drive shaft on a quattro.

It is a coupe with 1 tailpipe and it certainly does have a rear driveshaft.

Thanks all.
