Hi guys, new to the forums so forgive the nooby mistakes in advance if made.

Iv got an audi TT 1.8T 225bhp. It recently blew a turbo to manifold gasket so i changed it fine with no problems at all, however it was a cheap gasket not the steel compressed type and the thing blew in first ten minutes.
So by now I'm kicking the tyres and contemplating the seconds run at it. This time i ordered the steel compressed version.
I set to work for the second time one bolt came out fine so i start on the other two turbo to manifold bolts and they released a good bit but after 3-4 mins I'm realising these two bolts are just spinning.
long story short there's a collet or helicoil type device screwed into the 3 turbo holes & the turbo bolts go into those holes.
because they decided to come out with the bolts iv had to drill the heads of because they'd stuck to the manifold section.
The turbo bolts are m10 bolts but now these collet/helicoils have come out attached to the bolts im left with 2 great holes far bigger than m10 thread.

Does anyone know where i can get these collets from ? Audi/vw dealers don't have them on their turbo display that they order parts from the system off.
I can't put my turbo back together without them
Helppppp please.

Go to a good automotive machine shop and ask them. Or, call a Turbo remanufacturer. There are several. Get their email address and send them the pic or have them look at the photos you posted.

Also remember this event carefully. The bargain price happiness is soon forgotten once poor quality rears its ugly head,

Never use aftermarket junk on critical safety-related or powertrain components. Teach your kids the same thing. I did so after learning the hard way when I was young with VW and later Audi's.
