Default NEED HELP, PLEASE

thinking of purchasing 2001 Audi TT Roadster Quattro (100,000 – 150,000 miles), 4-Cylinder 1.8L L4 DOHC 20V TURBO 225 HP. It may cost between $8,500 to $15,000 If I buy it here, in Texas.I saw a similar make at $4,000 (EUR $3,000) in Germany - Berlin and Frankfurt on Main. I was thinking if it would be easier to get one in Germany and bring it over here.

I NEED TO KNOW the following: I know how much it costs in the USA. I need to get an approximate estimate, how much it will cost me to bring it over here and pay all fees (shipping, customs, registration fees, and any other fees that may occur) so I can see how much I will need to pay on top of the cost in Germany.

Don't forget that mods may be needed to pass federal emissions inspections before the car can pass through US customs. Also, European models typically have fewer features than US models. For example, in Europe, the glass wind deflector on the roadster was an expensive option whereas in the US it was standard equipment.

Are you quoting European prices in Euros or $US? 3K Euro is about $4K US.

If you search cars.com nationally (put in "all" when it asks for miles from your zip code), you find several roadsters in the US that meet your requirements with an asking price of under $6K and could be negotiated lower. Much less risk (and about the same cost after you factor shipping and import fees) than importing a car and you get it immediately.

look in craigslist and be patient! your looking at 1500 to 2300 for transport plus certification if you bring the car from Germany.

I agree! You usually get what you pay for if you are careful.
A $3000 tt in Germany might not be any better than a $3000 tt here! If you are patient you will find one for 5-6k but they might need some tlc. I just picked up a 2002 225hp roadster for under 5000 but knew that it may need some work even when it was said to be good.
