When I was driving about 80mil/h and braked to about 20mil/h, the the transmission display changed from prndS (Only selected S lit) to PRNDS (all lit up) and the gear was stuck in 3rd...
It went away after restarting the engine but could this be a foresign for some serious issues??

Pull your transmission codes with VCDS, should say something there.

Not a chronic problem but not rare. The PRNDS display is the tranny's equivalent of a CEL and your symptoms are classic valve body failure. The restart "master clear" will work for a while but it will soon stay stuck in third. $4K+ repair at the dealer. If you have a good relationship with the dealer, ask if their regional service rep will approve that Audi pay half (or more) of the repair bill for a premature failure. They have done this for some folks in the past, like a secret warranty. There is a slim possibility it is a failure of the trany control computer which is not nearly as expensive.
