Sitting around 6mo., now won't start
Hi all:
(this is a X-post from the SoCal regional post, but I wanted to hit the TT specific gang)
So I have a '04 TT sitting in San Diego, CA that needs a little TLC.
The Ask:
I'm hoping someone out here could recommend someone in San Diego that could help me get TT back up and running - either onsite or in a shop I would have it towed to. I could take it to the dealer, but I'd rather avoid that if I can.
The Symptoms:
The starter turns the engine over and it coughs and sputters a few times like it's about to start then it dies off. Over and over and never successfully starts completely.
The Background:
- TT has been sitting unmoved for the last probably 6+ months (I know, I know..but this was beyond my control unfortunately)
- The driveway it's on has a slightly more than average upwards angle.
- Gas tank is (I believe) about 1/2 full or so.
- No prior history of engine problems or allergies.
It could be any number of things but I can't really address it directly. I live out of the country and am coming back in December. TT is at my home there where my parents babysit it - albeit it clearly not well Anyway, my goal is to find someone trustworthy to come to the car or I could have it taken taken to a shop where it can be sorted out.
Anyone any thoughts? Much appreciated.
