Default stage III / day 2 >>

Well if day 1 gives you any idea of what I think of this kit... I got a speeding ticket not more than 5 minutes of leaving NEA in concord, NH. oops. Whatever... This whole thing has been a constant reminder of what an idiot I am for spending this much $ on a car.

<img src="http://www.squarewave.us/army/andrew/ttStuff/IMG_2068.jpg">

I digress... First off all I need to say is it's scary sounding, scary powerful. I had an Injen CAI in my car before and it is nowhere near as screaming loud as the stock box with ungodly amounts of air passing through it.

<img src="http://www.squarewave.us/army/andrew/ttStuff/IMG_2057.jpg">

The power is fantastic. Comes on fast and stays through the rev band. I can already see my next mod being an FMIC... around 78 degrees in boston yesterday and I was flattening out/losing boost near the top of the rev band. On another note it's cool to see the car peaking around 26+ psi.

<img src="http://www.squarewave.us/army/andrew/ttStuff/IMG_2055.jpg">

I also had a peloquin diff, spec stage 3 clutch and steel flywheel installed... new dogbone and engine mounts as well. You can really feel the engine now. under your feet.. through the clutch... through the stick, etc. It takes some getting used to... the clutch is really grabby and precise... the process of putting the car in another gear is less of a process. It just takes it from you. Car grabs the road much better now as well... the LSD really makes a huge difference. Less torque steer than before... (just need to keep reminding myself to turn the ASR off)

<img src="http://www.squarewave.us/army/andrew/ttStuff/IMG_2070.jpg">

Last but not least, milltek exhaust. Really great sound down low... but once you mash the throttle it's all over. The thing screams. Normal crusing is quiet ... no drone. This was actually an exhaust NEA ordered for a GTI... but fits on the TT FWD. It's branded "dahlback racing" which is pretty cool. Maybe i'll get some flames.

Thanks to all on the board who have answered my questions... modding is over for now... I won't be spending $ on the car for quite some time.

For the record... my car has 82k miles on it and the fun is just starting.

Default Very nice....

You sure that it's a standard Milltek? I think that Dahlback/MTM's is "slightly" different.

Default yeah... probably not....

I got it pretty cheap.. so I didn't ask too many questions. It's 3" stainless... that's about all I know. The branding makes it a bit confusing.. but it sounds great and works great so I'm pretty happy.

Default 3" stainless.... kinda impossible.. it'll be metric #1...but besides that...

I don't think it's a true 3"... maybe the tips..not the whole thing. If it is though.. then it is definitely different.
