Default Ski trip this weekend... drive the TT or the Rover?

Going on a ski trip this weekend to Whistler B.C.... it's 5 hours away... i'm meeting my friends up there, but not sure what car to drive.... probably not a ton of snow on the roads, but might be some as I get closer.... what would you guys do?

Factors:

Rover:
Good = Very good/new tires (New BFG A/T KO's), roomy and comfy, ski racks all ready to go.
Bad = fuel hog (10 miles per galon), corners sh*tty (way up to where i'm going is quite twisty)

TT:
Good = Much faster car (i'll probably get there an hour faster). More fun to drive and I can pass lots of people.
Bad = Older A/S Pirelli P6 tires, small and less roomy, have to put my snowboard inside the car.

Default My 163 snowboard fits when seats are down, but be sure to

wrap something around the edges. The sharp edges on the board will tear the leather on the seats. Use a board bag or wrap some towels.

Default dude take the TT, it's monsoon season right now the roads are bare

I went up last weekend and kicked myself for not driving up. Not a whiff of snow on the roads. 5 minutes out of Whistler and it seemed more like spring than winter. That highway is one that'd you want to drive the TT on rather than the Rover especially now with 2 lanes on a lot of the stretches. Watch out for cops!

Check the <a href="http://www.drivebc.com/include/cam.jsp?camId=1000005" target="_blank">Hwy 99 webcam</a> tomorrow to get a better idea. You can also get info on driving conditions from the <a href="http://www.drivebc.com/popular_routes.jsp?eventType=current&popularRoute= H99_N%3A53478%3A171838%2CH99_S%3A204802%3A323162&x =11&y=11" target="_blank">DriveBC website</a>. There's definitely no snow from Vancouver to Squamish (halfway) as it's raining up there too.

Default yeah especially the local mtns, we did get an early snowfall but that was short

We're now on the 26th day straight of rain. The record for Vancouver is 28 days. Looks like it'll be beat on Monday. I think Whistler is getting snow but higher up. They closed 7th Heaven on Blackcomb last Friday so it was good on Saturday morning.

Default same with my 163 fatboy, in a bag tho

look close, there's a 134 in a bag back to back, plenty of room for weekend gear too.
