What else while I'm doing the timing belt?
Hey, all. I have a 2002 225 Roadster with ~172k miles. I've owned it for nearly 3 years and about 10,000 miles. I'm getting ready to dive in and do the timing belt (and tensioning roller, dampener, new bolts, water pump, and coolant reservoir). While I'm in there, what else should I be looking at doing, since it'll be apart, whether for maintenance or "of course you should replace that" performance enhancement? Thanks!

I bought a 2000 low miler Japan car (54,000 km or 35,000 miles) last year so decided to do the timing belt right away rather than risk a catastrophe (due to age, not mileage).
If you look at the ECS Tuning kits you'll see a couple of items you didn't list, including the thermostat (a different area of engine, but easier to do while coolant is out - Easy is relative term, it's a tough one to get at) Also the accessory serpentine belt is an obvious one to change at the same time. You'd really kick yourself if you had to repeat much of the same work later to replace that belt.
I used the ECS Ultimate kit which comes with a kevlar timing belt and those other two items too. https://www.ecstuning.com/Audi-TT_MK...ing/ES2569835/
A not so obvious upgrade/maintenance item is the motor mount. You have to take the mount right off get at the "front" of the engine (right side in our case) so if you have an upgraded one already purchased, it's no extra labour to put it in.
