I've tried searching for what plugs and coil packs to use for my 2000 TT 1.8L turbo non-Quattro. When I went to the auto store they couldn't find what OEM plugs and coils were used. So my question is what core for the plugs should I use, brand, and also what coil pack? And I've been hearing about something about red coil packs and they adding better spark? I'm looking for a little better performance, if not I'll be okay with OEM parts. All I have for upgrades is a borla catback exhaust, neuspeed cold air intake, and neuspeed chip. Also, I'm new to Audi's so can you break your answer down for dummies lol.

If you search the Quattroworld or Fourtitude Mk 1 forums you should find more answers. The OEM plugs were Denso iridium. IMO performance improvement from different plugs is negligible. I replaced mine every 30K. There was a recall of the OEM coil packs in early years for premature failure. Perhaps the red packs were the replacements.
