Here we go.

Standard Audi troubleshooting techniques apply. Also standard automotive troubleshooting techniques as well.

1. Perform a proper diagnostic scan. Not with an OBD II tool, but with either the "million dollar" dealer tool or using the VCDS diagnostic interface from Ross-Tech and their software.

2. Read the information from the scan, comprehend it and utilize the guided fault-finding information in the proper Service Manual for the vehicle. Also, search the forum(s) for information from others who have experienced the identical fault/problem. NOTE: "won't stay running" is too general.

3. Also, check this out, while written for another Audi model, most of it applies to your vehicle and can help with troubleshooting. https://www.audiworld.com/forums/a8-...-read-2877219/

4. Watch this video. Most of it applies here :https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gx4EfoLzu_
