Finally figured out why my right rear light was completely dead

I just did my right rear light fix. I ordered a replacement part off eBay for $45, just the gray part that holds the bulbs. I ran an additional ground as shown on a YouTube video. I thought I could get away with not replacing the connector, but when my dash light came on again and off again, I ordered the connector with the wires to insert in the connector. I'll have to splice in the new wires onto the existing wire loom. I'm waiting for the connector as I just ordered it this afternoon. I hope I get this done before another gray part goes bad.
