35k service and extras?! TTRS
Hi I own a 2012 TTRS,
When I called two separate dealerships in the NYC area they quoted me $1250 and $980. Does anyone know why theres a price disparity for the same exact service?
So obviously I went with the cheaper dealership (plus they gave me a 20% discount on a special they have this month)
But they also recommended and talked me into 3 things:
1) Fuel injection cleaning (EFI service)
2) AC cleaning
3) Brake flush (I'm having my front pads replaced but there charging me for the brake flush) (Thought that would be part of replacing of the pads but its not)
Does anyone find these additional services necessary? Or they just talked me into just to make some money...? Thanks

If the $980 was after the 20% discount, it would be about the same cost between the two dealers. Service promotions are an individual dealer's marketing prerogative and not uncommon. If you got 20% off of the lower $980, it was obviously the better deal but maybe not so much if they managed to sell other services you didn't really need.
Not sure why you would need your injectors cleaned at 35K unless it was causing issues. Again, a brake flush at 35K seems early unless you are having problems. Pad replacement would have nothing to do with a brake fluid flush.
AC cleaning? Haven't heard of that one before.

About the fuel injector cleaning, I read up on other forums that its actually a proper cleaning where they run a pressurized pump with the injector cleaning solution. But didn't think it was necessary..my car is running fine. Thanks for your feedback.
