Bluetooth

I agree on the aesthetics thought. I'll update when they respond. Since this isn't our daily driver, more a weekend driver, I put it on charge every three or four days. Otherwise, it goes dead. It's possible the cause is something else but the Dension is the only electrical mod done so far though. It works great for Bluetooth audio out of my Android phone and did work for calls flawlessly until this weekend. It has an 18 pin connector in the back that might have come undone partially. That connector was an issue when I installed it. Also, You'll need a vag-com tool to make the steering wheel control work. At least I did. Keep you posted.

Is there any chance that you could share some pictures of what it looks like in your dash? I was actually looking at the 8200 NEX (although my first preference is to try and get the original system working), which replaced the 8100 last year, and has just started dropping in price (as it gets replaced by the 8201 NEX that was announced, but not released yet, at CES last month).
Thanks!

I assume you set the 8100NEX to the red lighting so that it matches the Audi Interior? How do you think it looks? I was always concerned that the large touchscreen panels looked out of place inside the Audi cabin (which is part of the reason I wanted to get the Bluetooth working on my factory RNS-E instead.... basically to preserve the original "Audi Aesthetic")

If you look on the inside edge of the somewhat useless package tray between the seats, you will find an aux jack. It will allow you to play your music, but all of the controls for it will be on your device (iPod or phone). None of the radio/steering wheel controls work with the aux except volume. If you have the glove box CD player (or the wiring for one) you can update this to a Tune 2 Air and have a little more functionality. There is a thread further back on the Tune 2 Air stories.
