Default Full Timing Belt Replacement Cost

just wondering what i should expect price wise from an audi dealer for a full timing belt replacement (which would include pump, tentioners, ect) and would it be cheaper to buy a replacement kit from one of the vendors on this site and take it to the dealer to have them put it on

Default First, are you sure you have a belt?

Some Mk 2's have timing chains. Check one of the threads here Fourtitude.com - Audi TT FAQ Replacement interval is around 100K miles versus 60K for the Mk 1.

Typical dealer price is around $1500. Getting it done at an indy shop will cut that in half. Many folks like the DeiselGeek kit for parts.
