Default Grinding/pulsing sound from wheel during hard turns

Recently purchased a 2008 tt quatro. I took it for a test drive and the car drove just fine. I was driving it today and took an on ramp to the interstate pretty fast, it was a right hand turn. When I did, the front left wheel gave me a lot of grinding vibration and noise. It sounded as if it were the traction control kicking in because it was pulsing and had a tempo to it, but it was very abrasive and rough. The traction control light on the dash also flashed. When I take a hard left turn, i can very lightly feel the traction control doing it's job on the front right wheel, but it is not loud or grinding and it feels like it should feel. The car was in a front left collision, so i'm sure that has something to do with the issue. So my question is, what parts do you think are damaged that would cause this issue and what am i looking at to take care of it?? Any help is greatly appreciated!

A failing wheel bearing can make the sounds that you describe. Suggest you check that and the tire for abnormal wear.
