Default NEED HELP...Audi TT MK2 Suspension

Hi guys! I just have a quick question regarding my shocks and struts. I have a 2008 Audi TT Quattro 3.2 V6 with Magnetic Ride. I was informed that my front and rear should be replaced as they seem to be leaking. I can't really seem to find shocks for the "magnetic ride" and I'm not too keen on going to the stealership. My question is...is it necessary that I replace them with "magnetic ride" shocks and struts? I'm not concerned about losing that option being that I very rarely use the option anyhow. If someone can let me know whether this is technically possible that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Dorian

Hi Dorian,

You can replace with regular struts and shocks for 3.2 PQ35 chassis like TT 3.2, A3 3.2, R32 mk2. You need to code OUT Magnetic Ride controller so it will not throw codes. I have a set from a 3.2 A3 S-line if you're interested. Make me offer. You pay shipping.

You will need VCDS to remove suspension computer from CAN gateway.

Default Audi TT RS suspension on Audi TT?

Hello Everyone,

I have a 2011 Audi TT. My suspension is feeling a little soft, and I was wondering if it would be possible to modify my suspension to the OEM TT RS suspension? (shocks and coil overs). Have anyone tried this before? Thank you so much!

Hello,
My question is has anyone sourced these magnetic ride shocks? I've called Audi, requested online quotes and only receive the below listed parts which are not magnetic from all I can tell.
With the S3, R8 using this system as well as GM,Ferrari why can't I find replacements anyplace? Is code out the only option?

Have you looked at this parts source?
SHOCKS & COMPONENTS for 2008 Audi TT Quattro

I have just started to look into this since Audi has told me that my rear shocks are leaking and need replacing. They quoted $1750 as a cost. Have to be able to get the job done cheaper some where.

Thank you for your response. The thing that threw me was no illustrations ever shows the wiring ports. You're right, these are the right parts. The rears should be easy to do and a savings of $800 roughly. At least it was easy when I replaced my Passats rears. Since my TT was used I plan to go one more round of Mag Rides just to see the full advantage and then go coilovers maybe. I hope you find it to be an easy fix. Thanks again for the link.
