SEMA Featured Vehicle
Just returned from a great SEMA show with lots of Audis and VWs.
My red 2008 TT 3.2, 6mt, cabriolet was a featured vehicle. It had just been
rebuilt by HPA Motorsports (Canada) with a dyno reading of 450 hp and 530 lbs. of torque. With new brakes, hand-made custom exhaust, Haldex mods and K-W coilovers, it is one awesome car. We've recorded 0-60 mph at 3.6 sec. The handling and breaking are breathtaking. With 2000 miles now on the odo since rebuild, I have nothing but great things to say about HPA and their fantastic, integrated system.
I considered buying a 2013 TTRS, but love the top-down too much to change to a coupe.
The cost of the mods plus the original car value equal the value of a used TTRS.
Was it worth it? Absolutely. More pics of the car can be seen on VW Vortex.
