Default Windshield Question

I got the windshield of my TT replaced after a rock chip that turned into a foot long crack. Got it done properly (OEM windshield with rain sensor, AAA, etc.), but I just noticed that there is a black rubbery substance in between the windshield and the right front pillar. Seems like it is "windshield glue"... The windshield people SHOULD replace it right? (1 Year warranty~)

I just noticed it and although not noticeable at night... It's like cancer!

The "rubbery substance in between the windshield" is indeed the urethane adhesive. whoever installed your windshield ran the bead of urethane too close to the edge of the pinch weld and caused the access to be visible when they set the glass. It's is a cosmetic problem that is annoying but won't cause any harm. Here is the detailed process with pictures
