Default 2018 TT RS Fixed Rear Spoiler Delete

Is everyone in agreement, that if I delete the fixed rear spoiler, I will instead be able to have the TT/TTS electronic rear spoiler in its place? One that I can actuate via button when I want or even automatically?

I think this is the case, but would like to get a general consensus...

I think your assured to get the TT / TTS fold down spoiler if you select the Delete option.
On the UK Forum buyers have done this.

A rear spoiler is also a "requirement" on the TT, from the manual:

I think this should be the case. I'm going the spoiler delete option route also. I was happy to see that it would be available that way here in the U.S.

Not so happy though that the Oled's are not available as a standalone option yet. I would hold out for that, not interested in the fixed suspension.

Yes. When you order the spoiler delete, you are actually ordering the code for the electronic spoiler.

What are your reasons (everyone in this thread) for deleting the spoiler and opting for the electronic one? I've driven around the new TTS with the electronic wing plenty of times and I think its awesome but I thought the somewhat larger fixed wing would be more appropriate for the TTRS. Thoughts?

Just a matter of aesthetics taste. I wouldn't want a TT-RS fixed spoiler on display at all times. So nice that Audi offers both configurations.

Concur tho' that if primarily tracked the somewhat larger fixed wing may be advantageous.

When I was considering the TTRS Mk II, I also wanted to delete the fixed wing. Glad that is still an option.

Agree with Huey, personal taste mainly.
Made a similar choice myself by not choosing the S line Competion Package which comes with a fixed rear spoiler. (Canadian Option)

It is offered just for personal preference. Some people feel the fixed rear wing is too aggressive and in your face. This way you can get the sleeper look of the electric rear spoiler.

Black TT RS with black optic package and just cruise under the radar.

Totally up to you.

I personally love the electronic rear spoiler. I like how subtle and smoothly it goes up and down..that moment when you are driving (speeding) and it quietly lifts as if to say "let's go!"
