Audi Connect

Actually that's not correct. AT&T attempted a purchase but it fell through. Then, Sprint and T-Mobile tried to do a merger and that fell through as well. Now, Dish Network and T-Mobile are in merger talks.

The frustrations of Canada
Without Audi connect in Canada, even though the Mk3 TT has a SIM card slot, I was hopeful that I could use the instructions in this thread to tether the MMI to my smartphone. However the setup options don't even show up on my car. I was however able to WiFi tether my smartphone to the car, which just results in the error message "unstable internet connection".
In the meantime, I cannot believe how bad the voice commands are, especially for Navigation.

At least the 'natural voice" Nav input syntax is better than the "unnatural" of several years ago.

Interesting that AT&T now owns the Dish Network (or at least they're advertising same). Can't keep up with these telecom acquisitions/mergers!

Actually, it wasn't Dish, AT&T merged with DirecTv. AT&T has a partnership with Dish for set top box service. Now that they have merged with DirecTV, it's possible AT&T could eventually dump the Dish arrangement. Dish has not been able to complete a telco merger partner which, apparently, they must need to be able to compete for spectrum expansion.

LOL See, I just can't get this right. Thanks for the continued insight.
