ED Pickup of 2017 Daytona Gray TTS w/ express red interior
Thrilled to finally be able to pick up a Daytona Gray Express Red TTS that I ordered back in July. The whole ED experience was amazing. Walking across the bridge to the pickup area was a nice touch that made the whole procedure so classy. Then after a thorough walk through and intro/tutorial, you get to drive the car outside yourself and park it on the piazza.
Bonuses: 2 safety vests, first aid kit, and emergency triangle. Wasn't expecting to get to keep those, but was told to do so.
Not looking forward to having to drop off the car and wait 11+ weeks for it. Snapped a quick iPhone photo on the piazza and we're off in search of some autobahn tarmac. I'll have to be gentle the first 1000km (max speed 150 kph or about 93 mph), but should be able to let her rip toward the end of the trip...

To my eye, the best standard color combination available for TT-based Audis. If there were any roadsters available in this combo, I'd buy one in a heartbeat.
Nice car. Enjoy your drives through Europe!

Classy color combo to be sure. Enjoy!
btw: does it always take ~11 weeks post ED? That sure seems like a very long time just for destination transport.

Can't speak to Audi, but in the case of BMWs, transport to the US is on a regular cadence, based on full shipments. Depending on when and where you drop off the car, that can add some weeks to the total schedule. I don't recall exactly how long it takes the freighter to make port, or if Audi drops off at several ports depending on final destination, but it's not fast. Then there will be a week or two for customs, overland travel, dealer prep, etc.

Glad to hear another confirmation that transport might not take 11 weeks. That's what I've been reading from my research, but the official paperwork says 11-13 weeks.
Car drives like a dream! Pretty packed schedule, and only have iPhone pics for now. Will try to take proper photos at some point.

I know how that works; arrived in Munich on 13 October, then Ingolstadt, Brenner Pass, Venice, Ravenna, Rome, Florence, Pisa, Cinque Terre, Aix, Pont du Gard, Carcassonne, Montauban, Chartres, Giverny, and finally Paris, on 2 November. 3339 km, and every bit of it enjoyable (except maybe driving in Rome). Great architecture, museums, restaurants, hotels and B&Bs along the way.

Wow, Chuck! Wish I had the time for that itinerary. Sounds like it was an epic and unforgettable trip.
