Default Missing "Under-Vehicle Pan"

I recently had an opportunity to take a first look under the car while it was on a lift. I found that there are three black fiber panels covering 3/4 of the floor pan. Audi calls them "Under Vehicle Pans" or "Belly Pans". The left rear quarter of the floor pan is not covered by a belly pan, and the Audi service guys tell me that this part was deleted for 2016. I didn't see any evidence that the panel ever existed so maybe they are correct, but it seems odd that only 3/4 of the floor pan would be covered. Can someone (hopefully more than one owner) please verify whether the left rear quarter of the floor pan is covered by a belly pan?

Thanks

I noticed the same on my A4. They're only doing partial coverage. You can get the missing pieces and install them...that's what I and a few others have done.

Actually it's called an underbody shield in the U.S. I'll have to check mine.....but basically they improve aerodynamics.

Thanks. Please let me know if yours is missing too. Dealer says there is no part number for 2016.

I just checked mine and I have complete shielding under the front and longitudinally down the sides of the underbody. There's also a discrete shield section under the gas tank. Of course the front wishbones, central exhaust line and rear muffler are open.

Mine was built 08 Oct 15 so perhaps Audi "value-engineered" out a piece thereafter?

*** misleading. Edit below ***

Thanks. Here is a picture of mine. Do you have all 4 panels, or is the left rear missing?

Great picture and yes the above is what I have. I shouldn't have said mine was "complete" as misleading. However I don't believe that's really a "missing" panel but rather the discrete integral tank shield/airfoil that you can see at rear driver's side. It appears innately aerodynamic and protected so no further shielding required? Of course one still does wonder why the passenger side rear has a covering and not the driver's side. I would add one if available as well, just because.

btw: one would think that at this price point it would come with mandrel-bent exhaust tubing. But I guess that's what the aftermarket is for.
