Thanks did you go with a TT or another TTS?
I get your hi mileage concern. I am not as concerned but hear you. It is second car as a toy, I am looking to tinker and if the price is right putting repair money in that i can do much myself is not an issue and part of the fun. Since they are new cars IE: 5 years or less the hi mileage is not as much a concern on the body or gauges (that is more from age in years) then for the wear and tear on drivetrain.

I saw 2011-2013 TTS for 14K or less with 100k-120k miles $17k-$19k for 50k-80k Not a huge difference so the $3k is worth the low miles. The 30k miles or less are $25-$30k

I did see the 08-10 TT plus and prestige as low as $7k all well under 100k miles. I have not seen any 09-10 TTS those might be the best deals.

Not sure if the 08-10 2.0 TT is a solid buy over the 11+ model. I want to tune and have TTS performance or more. I think easy stage 2+ can get there but then maxed out and none of the sport mode/badges/look of the TTS. And the TTS with same mods would be 12sec car.
