Default Remote Start for TT (mk3)

It would be nice to have a Remote Start feature installed for pre-warming the car in winter. Has anyone installed a Remote Starter in their TT? How did it work with (or without) the Audi Advanced Key FOB?

Thanks,
Windy1138

Actually, pre-warming is one of the worst things you can do to the drivetrain and exhaust system in a modern car. Just start the car and drive gently until the temps are near normal. Warming up just the engine wastes fuel, does nothing for the transmission and differentials, and dumps a lot of water (combustion product) into the the exhaust, promoting early rusting. The ECU and related systems know how to properly warm things up when driving - let them do the job.

Agreed Chuck, and as pertains to warming you Windy, the seat warmers are quick and hot on full, and the relatively small interior volume also heats quickly.
