Thank you for telling me about Launch control on Base Model
I was reading through the posts here last week and i stumbled across a post where someone was talking about launch control on the S model. One of the posts called out that it is available on the Base model as well. I had no idea, so I had to test it out on first opportunity.
Dynamic mode and Sport - Check
ESC off - Check
Break pressed - Check
Gas peddle to the floor - Check
Now at this point, I still wasn't convinced it was going to work. But when the Tachometer held steady about about 4500 rpm, I started to believe.
Foot off the break into a perfect launch.
It isn't something I will use often, but its good fun every once a while. I just stumbled across the post. I thought it worthy of its own post just in case there are others like me who don't know what they paid for.

Question: When you are holding the brake with one foot, and flooring the gas peddle...do the wheels spin? How long do you hold that position? I haven't done it yet and want to understand what to expect.

No, the wheels do not spin. There is a computer "line lock" imposed. Just floor it for a short duration until the rpm's settle and therefore the optimal boost is available. Let go the brakes, while still floored, and ..... enjoy. 😉

Hold until the revs stabilize and just let go. The wheel will only spin if they are covered in mud or you are on ice.
