Winter wheels for 2016 TTS
Hi folks, newbie here so apologies if this has been covered already - couldn't see easily.
Could I please get some recommendations for Winter wheels for my new 2016 TTS? I'd really like to get down to 17" ones if possible, but not sure that they'd clear the calipers on the front. Certainly don't want to be dumping $$$ on the Audi dealer ones $3k a set with rubber! eek!
Cheers.

I'm still using my 18" A5/allroad Rial DH rims with Michelin Alpin snow tires and like them very much. The Rial are low pressure cast to Audi spec's. My DH's do have a lower positive offset than OEM however (more pushed towards the outer fenders but no interference issues). On the TTS I also inserted centering rings just for smaller hub vibration peace of mind (unlikely but very inexpensive anyway).
The Rial Como is likely a better choice for the TTS.
TireRack still hasn't measured a TTS for winter rims and tires and at this late-season point is unlikely to do so. You should have no problem making a selection there or elsewhere in the Fall.
Oh, and 18" should be plenty of reduction to give you adequate Winter sidewall unless you're in extreme conditions.

I purchased wheels and rims from Tire Rack for my MK2 TTS. They were 17 inch rims and they worked great. If I recall properly, smaller wheels will do better in snow than larger.
My friend swears by Blizzaks for his GTI/Golf R(same platform).

I opted for the Elebrus rims on the MK2. They were cheap and looked great. In fact, the dealer I traded the car in didn't notice until too late they were aftermarket. I kept the old MK2 rims and hope I can put winter rubber on them for the MK3.

Will 4 Wheels Fit Inside a TT?
Thinking of getting a TT but wondering if four 19" wheels with summer tires on them will fit into the back of the TT (for when I take them to get swapped out for 18" winter wheels/tires).
Anyone tried putting 4 full 19" wheels inside a TT?
Thanks!

Edit: I bought Hartmann Wheels from Achtuning for my A5:

Tire Rack shipped my Blizzaks to Achtuning, who mounted and balanced and shipped the package to me.
All went flawlessly.
Achtuning now has fitments for the Mk3 TT on their website.

It's really tight, I didn't try it on my MK3. The MK3 is smaller inside than the MK2....and I would need a tire in the front seat in that one. Also, one time when the mechanic was putting the switched tires back in my MK2, he hit the mounting bracket for the back deck and broke it. The freaking piece of plastic was like $500 to replace. After that I said screw it, and had my wife use her car to bring the tires in. More recently I just swap them myself in the garage.
