Default 2009 Audi Airbag malfunction

I have a 2009 A4 cabriolet. The car has 80,000 miles. The airbag light went on and it was diagnosed as a clockspring and harness. It was repaired Two weeks later the airbag light went on again. Now it is the driver side airbag that needs to be repaired. The original repair was $950 now the next repair is $1400. I took responsibility for the first repair since I was told it was no longer under warranty. However, I do believe that an airbag defect needs to be the responsibility of the manufacturer NOT the consumer. Any other vehicle with airbag malfunctions has been covered under other manufacturers recalls, etc. Audi USA will not take responsibility for this repair. They continue to say it is my responsibility. Any suggestions, feedback would be greatly appreciated.
