"Control Module Not Coded"... won't let me recode?
2001 A6:
Got a new steering wheel control module that is not yet coded (00000) with the fault code "Control Module Not Coded". I understand why that is, but it will not accept any recoding and returns to "00000" every time. I know my new code is good from the Bentley manual. Is there some trick to coding things the first time?
I tried inputting a WSC (the one from my instrument cluster) but that did not work either.

Answered my own question: Bentley is WRONG!
The code for Tiptronic is not optional, and is the fourth digit instead of the third digit. Therefore, to code for tiptronic, radio and telephone, the correct code is 01011, not 01101.
I corrected the chart in the post above.
