1998 Audi A4 - need Airbag controller recode number
1998 Audi A4 Sedan - Airbag light is On - salvaged controller - needs recode?
My son purchased this A4 from a used car dealer, the Airbag light was on.
The dealer claimed that he'd had to replace the Airbag controller with a salvage unit,
and that he needed to re-code it and was "ordering the software" and we'd have to bring the car back. Well, my son never took the car back; and now the Dealer is gone (no forwarding). I'd like to fix the Airbag light (that is, have confidence that the airbags will work), although maybe it's appropriate to let my son get "Darwinned" for his stupidity....
I borrow a VAG USB cable from a coworker but don't have it on-hand so I can't report the code currently in the controller right now...
Can an owner of a 1998 A4 who is a VAG enthusiast let me know the code number that is in his/her Airbag controller?
Much thanks -

Here is a scan with the VAG. These errors come back as soon as cleared with the VAG.
(I did spray-clean the yellow 2-pin connectors under the front seats, per forum advice.)
