long story short my abs light is on. It is on due to the wire getting cut probably by a rat. Once I splice the wires together will the light turn off Or will I have to scan it?

the light should go out. there is no actual fault stored when the brake pad sensor light comes on in the dash. it just sees an open circuit and throws the warning light. post your results though, im sure others are interested in this as well

I had it scanned and it gave me fault code 01435 which has to do with the abs module
I am hopeing once the wires are spliced back together the light will go off I will post the results later today

abs/brake light
im sorry i misread your post the first time. i thought your brake pad sensor wire was broken. if the wires actually going to the abs speed sensor are broke or worn through that will cause a fault. id fix those wires first, clear the fault and go from there. what did the fault actually say after the #'s ("incorrect speed signal open/short circuit") for example
