Default accident mode

just finished rebuilding my b6 all by myself, problem is i lost keys and got new ones so i have to go to the deakler to reprogram the immobilizer.
question is, does the car go into accident mode so the engine wont start? does the fuel system get shut down? itll turn over but wont catch. but i still havent got the keys programmed. i got vag com but it wont connect to the car until the engine is running. anything i can do before getting the keys programmed?

Default If VAG-COM desn't connect until the engine is running, there is definitly something else wrong.

Which VAG-COM setup are you using (interface/software version)?
Do you have a complete Auto-Scan from the car?

Default i just have the connector and the shareware

when i start up the program and go through the initial attempt to find the port to the car and computer, cant find interface. i was thinking its either my cpu skills or because of the immobilizer

Default

You should contact whomever you bought the interface (connector) from for support.
