Advice on S3 airbag code (via VCDS)
Hi,
I have an airbag light on my S3 (2010). The code from VCDS is:
9437201 - Igniter for Driver's Airbag
B1000 11 [136] - Short to Ground
Any pointers to check before I take it to an auto electrician? Seen various posts on common faults re connectors under seats, clock spring etc. but I've not been able to find an exact match to this code on the forum, Ross-Tech Wiki or via the approved supplier I purchased VCDS from.
Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark-
Not sure, very possibly the clock spring.
I did find this note on a similarly worded code on the wiki:
You might want to ask on the Ross-Tech forum as well.

Special Notes
When "Short to positive" or "Short to ground" is found, DO NOT CLEAR THE DTC. This can cause the airbag to deploy. See repair manual for more information.
