Fill in the wheel wells alittle bit.
The roads around me are terrible. Lots of potholes, plus driving 95 in CT is like driving a dirt road. sport package w/ 18's = lots of bent rims..... I so figure I can get the 18's get a slightly bigger tire without sport package, and it wouldn't cause as much damage if any.

to answer your question and save a little bit of arguement. No. You can't vag that.
but if you want more safety in your tires, why not just opt for 17s? Sure they don't fill the look as good as 18s, but 17s are probably a better route. OR you can get super strong 18s and hope they don't bend at all.
