Default Coding help with C6 A-6 remote comfort

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/106574/cntrl_conv.1.jpg"></center><p>Theresias,

I finally got the cable last night and checked my central conv. settings. I managed to get my remote window control work one-way (down) by increasing my code from 4618301 to 4618429 (adding a value of 128). But I still can't close the window via remote. Is this a safety feature?

If so, do I need to add 16384 (SAFE function deactivate) to my current value? I wanted to check with the experts before continuing on with my experiements. Thanks!
Nick

Default That shouldn't be necessary.

Try the following: Using the driver's switches, run each of them all the way up and all the way down a couple of times, holding the swithch for 2 seconds each time after the window comes to a stop. Then try the remote again.

Uwe,

Well, I got it working! I tried your suggestion but I couldn't get it to work. I went back to my original post and checked the Adaptation code 061 and added 5 to my original code of 10 to make the closing of sunroof and doors work. Having Vag-Com is nice indeed. I have a couple of more questions if you don't mind:

1) I can't open the sunroof with the remote even after turning this feature on. Is it true that this function doesn't work?

2) I couldn't find where I can turn off the "key-in-ignition" bell. Is there a code to turn this off?

Thanks!
Nick

Default We've never seen a car where the sunroof would open

with the remote, despite some cars having explicit bits for that.

I don't think there's anything that can be done about the key-in-ignition warning (if that's what it really is). Please describe the exact conditions under which this warning occurs.

Default Poeple told that changing the country code also changes the ignition chime behavior...

...you do not need to enable the SAFE motors, these are not installed in NAR models. The SAFE motors are a 2nd locking step using to close/lock the doors.
