Default Controller not responding?

Trying to change some codes on a new Mark V GTI (I know it's not an Audi, but the S4 is next) and plug in the new HEX-CAN interface, go to central electronics to get rid of those damned DRL's and it looks for an address and then says controller not reponding. The little light on the interface is green (or at least my son says it is as I'm colourblind). What am I doing wrong- it's worked ok before on my company car, a '04 A4...

Default Re: Controller not responding?

Updated to 512.4 and everything seems to work fine now. Got the DRL's off, but subtracting 2 to get rid of seat chime didn't work?? Got the remote window deal to work as well- boy that VAG-COM is handy!!

Default Post exactly what you did for the seatbelt chime.

I.e. the before and after codes.

Default before and after codes for seat belt chime, for Uwe

The first code was 0007203 and I subtracted 2 from the 7 and tried 0005203 which did nothing, so I changed it back to the original code. Thanks.

Default In theory, that's correct.

Did you cycle the ignition after you changed the coding? In many cases, coding changes don't "take" until the ignition has been cycled.
