Default Deciphering what's already installed

Hey guys, i know this has probably been discussed many times but I'm having a terrible time finding an answer.

Super simple question:
What's the best way to figure out what is already installed on my car when using VAG-COM. When reading values for certain channels it just gives me the current sum. Do i actually have to break that down manually considering all possible options to know the answer to my question?

More specifically I'm wondering if my '07 S8 has the DIS (driver info system) currently active. The options suggest it's installed but I don't see it in the MMI.

Yes.
Well yes, kind of - the Installation List screen can give you a lot of information too.

Easier way may be to look at the PR codes on the sticker in the manual, or alternatively on the one in the trunk under the spare.

Looks like:

DIS is the display between the speedometer and tachometer.
Not sure exactly what you mean by DIS - like lane assist ?

Wow, thanks. I'll check all that out.

As for DIS, yeah, you're right I just saw a post suggesting you can access the trip info (as you do on the screen between the speedometer and tachometer) through the MMI that confused me a bit. I was trying to figure out if that was already enabled or not. Sounds like it is (in the DIS) and simply isn't available on the MMI screen
