Default DTCs

Hello all,

I have codes 16502: Engine Coolant Temp. Sensor (Signal to high) and 17704: Error in mapped coding system (usually temp sensor or thermostat).
Does anyone know the reason for these codes? All help is appreciated!!

Default I can help you with 16502 ...dont know about 17704 though

For 16502 this indicates a bad coolant temp sensor.
Before you go out and buy one, clear the code and retest to make sure it was not a mistake.
If the DTC is thrown consistently then get a new coolant temp sensor and O-ring. The sensor is located at the rear of the engine( between the engine block and the firewall.)

Default Time for a Coolant Temp Sensor..

Will probably fix both codes.
