Default Emissions coding

There are a number of different emissions codes for my 2000 A6 2.7T (e.g., US TLEV, US LEV, Euro III, Brazil, Mexico, etc). Any advantage to using one over another? Would this change anything that might give more mileage/power/something different? Dumb question from a noob, maybe. TIA.

Default Even though the coding table may suggest there are different possibilities...

...usually you can only switch between those supported by your ECU and that is mostly only one or two of the selection. Personal suggestion, just stay with the original one to avoid trouble.
