Generic ODBII code reading with my HEX+CAN interface
Is it possible to use my Ross-Tech HEX+CAN interface to read ODBII codes on other cars? I searched the Ross-Tech site and their is a brief discussion about it, but it doesn't have pointers to compatible software.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The wife's car just popped a CEL and someone rather far away is borrowing my old cheapo code reader.
Thanks!

VAG-COM has generic OBD-2 capabilities, so instead of searching for other software try this 1st.

I get the following error...
Car is not ISO/ODB-II compatible!
According to Ross-Tech's site, it should be compatible (1999 Chrysler 300M).
Is there any 3rd party software that's known to work with the HEX+CAN interface that might provide better/different results?
Sigh....

That car probabably uses SAE J1850-VPW,
much of Chrysler switched from ISO to J1850 in the 1999-2000 time frame.
